MILLS ROBOTICS TEAM SEEKS FUNDS

Mills Robotics Team received a generous contribution of $5,000 from BAE Systems,
a leading global defense, security, and aerospace company.
The Mills Robotics Team had been competing for 12 years in the FIRST
(For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics competitions.
The team is composed of about 25 dedicated students who spend weeks of strenuous work to build a robot to compete against many other high schools nation wide.
Team members learn valuable skills such as construction, programming and fund raising which could be applied to their future careers.
The $5,000 donation will be used for the yearly registration fee for the competition in March.
The team is actively seeking more funds to cover other cost such as materials and software to program the robot.
If you are interested in supporting the team, please contact the team advisor, Mr. Yuk Yung, at 650-558-2599 yyung@smuhsd.org.
